Agent Spotlight: Jimmy Keith

Jimmy Keith is a seasoned Realtor at RE/MAX of Boulder.  If you live in the mountains i'm sure you've seen his sign on the side of the road.

Jimmy mainly focuses on close-in mountain homes and raw land.  If you have any questions about buying/selling a mountain home, no one knows more than Jimmy Keith.  He is the local expert.  He is well versed in water law and can settle and water/sewer/septic issue that comes about.

Jimmy doesn't just work in the mountains, he lives it.  He lives on a big ranch in Lyons with his 100+ horses that he cares to like they are his children.  He trains his horses and takes in hurt horses and rehabs them back to good health.  His past used to revolve around the rodeo as well, taking part in riding.

Jimmy is also a collector of old cars, mainly 1930's automobiles.  You can find him displaying, proudly, his horse drawn herse at the Frozen Dead Guy Days.

Twirl Boulder, A New 'twist' on Fro Yo!

Have you been in to Twirl yet?  It's the newest fro yo shop to pop-up in Boulder and they came with a Twist! Get it?!

Twirl Boulder, located at 1727 15th st, just a block North of Boulder High School is the creation of Robin Luff.  Robin and her husband have been dreaming of opening a yogurt store in Boulder for quite some time but were unable to find a location that would fit their business needs and be suitable for their target market, Boulder students and families. 

Robin said, having Twirl a block away from Boulder High gives the students more variety for their lunch breaks.  In fact to accommodate the earlier lunch crowd Twirl serves breakfast starting at 10am.  To put a twist into the store, Twirl has also teamed up with Nick and Willy's pizza and serves it by the slice.

Robin says that she is deeply involved with Boulder high and philanthropy.  She supports Latino students from the school and donates meals to disadvantaged teens weekly.  Twirl also hosts a 'non-profit day' where they donate all profits to local charities and clubs.

Whats different here?  Since Twirl is focusing their customer base around kids, families, and students Twirl rents out their store to events such as after school clubs for Boulder High.  They also have a lounge in the back with games and couches for the kids to have fun and relax.  Twirl also takes pictures of their customers and cycles them through their display monitors to show off to their friends.  Later this month a group has rented out Twirl to have a Hunger Games party for the release, it should be a lot of fun.

Agent Spotlight: Stan Lanzno

Stan Lanzano is a seasoned Realtor at RE/MAX of Boulder and big family man.  At work Stan is a strong performer and helps people buy and sell homes.  Outside of working with clients Stan is the landlord for a handful of homes on University Hill.   

After hours Stan is a family man.  He recently had a new born son and has been balancing his work responsibilities with his family responsibilities.  And when he does find some free time, Stan likes to get his sweat on at his favorite gym, Movement (it’s a climbing gym).  Stan is a avid mountain climber but also enjoys ice climbing when he has the time.  Working at RE/MAX of Boulder, for Stan, allows him to be flexible when it comes to work and family and when he runs into any issues with his deals or has a question that needs answering, he is surrounded by experienced Realtors.

'Pearl Street Performer: ZIP-Code Man'

This past weekend I was wandering around Pearl Street grabbing lunch and I ran into a street performer that I had only heard of through my friends but have never actually seen him perform his talent.  That man is David Rosdeitcher, better know as ZIP code man.

For those of you who have not heard of David, he has been deemed the title of zip code man because he has memorized most of the US zip codes and many world-wide.  The gig is simple.  He draws you in and says he can guess where your from, by providing your zip code.

I said, '63126'.  He said, 'St. Louis, MO', and he blew my mind.  I had a few people around my try it as well and he went 4/4.  The real kicker is not only does he know where your from, even if its a small town in Kansas, he will tell you a little fact about the town.  May it be that the town is small or have you ever been to Such-and-Such restaurant there, the eerie when people say 'Yes, I've eaten there!'

This is quite a feat.  For those of you who are unaware, there are over 40,000 zip codes in the US alone!  And David has memorized over 30,000. So next time your on Pearl Street grabbing a bite or just taking in the atmosphere, keep an eye out for zip code man and try your luck.
